Our FAQ's
A: It depends on several factors. The level of soil, the weather, and the amount of airflow to cleaned areas all determine the length of time it takes to dry. Typical dry times for carpet in ideal weather and soil conditions are dry to the touch between 4-6 hours. With that being said, we always tell our clients to plan on over night as an extra level of precaution.
A: Yes, with one exception. When an optional sealer or protector is applied to your floors after your cleaning, we recommend to stay off the floors for at least 45mins. This period of time allows our protectors and sealers to penetrate the surface and to dry. You are free to walk on it as much as you please after we are done with a basic cleaning where no sealer or protector is used. We always advise every client of ours to use caution when walking off of damp and drying carpet onto tile, wood, vinyl, or any other hard surface due to the slipping hazard that damp shoes and feet impose. We can also supply shoe covers if needed!
A: In short no. Typically the areas under furniture are far cleaner than the open traffic areas in a room. When furniture is moved and steam cleaned under, it creates a risk of leaving permanent furniture stains from wooden or metal legs when the furniture is moved back too soon onto damp carpet fibers. We recommend the furniture to either stay put and the traffic areas cleaned around it or (if you want to move things) to be moved prior to our arrival and to stay off of the carpet completely for 24 hrs. We also recommend stacking as few items as possible onto used beds due to the possibility of the carpets needing overnight to dry.
A: When our pet treatment is applied, we can resolve most common odor issues and spots we encounter with some exceptions. Pet stains can often permanently discolor the carpet where the accident occurred and (if enough volume was present) can penetrate through the carpet fibers and into the carpet backing, padding, and sub-floor causing extensive damage. This example cannot be fixed by standard cleanings or treatments.
A: All of these services are recommended to be done at least once a year to keep your floors and upholstery in tip top shape. The longer the professional cleanings are delayed, the more irreversible damage that is done. In fact, most carpet warranties become void if you do not have them professionally cleaned every 12-16 months. In our experience, we tend to see abnormal wear, permanent staining, and duller appearances to items that are not professionally cleaned and sealed at least every 6-12 months.
A: Absolutely! This is a common way to get your home steam cleaned and we offer contactless payment over the phone prior to the job. Just give us specific instructions on how you want us to get in and the best way to lock up your house or place of business before we leave. We’ll even notify you (text or phone call) before and after the job is done too if you want!
A: Typically only 1-2hrs! When we clean your upholstery, we use a special state-of-the-art very low moisture tool that flushes the fabric safely without ever over penetrating the fabric material. This means our process for cleaning your favorite chairs, sofas, and sectionals are cleaner and drier then our competitors.
A: 1) If it’s been years (or maybe the first time) since your floors have been professionally cleaned and sealed; you should expect to have possible permanent staining/ discoloration in any grout lines that remained unsealed for long periods of time. Grout is very similar to concrete and just like the oil stains in your drive way or garage floors from your car, grout can become permanently stained too.
2) Expect for very oily floors to return to its original matte-like appearance. When oil is trapped in the pores of your floors, it can reflect light and seem to cast a shiny appearance. Removing this oil will return the floors to it’s natural state.
3) Don’t expect the floors to become polished after cleaning. Polishing and cleaning are two completely different processes. Polishing is a process of sanding and resurfacing the top layer of the floor to produce a mirror-like reflective surface. Cleaning is the process of rinsing and extracting ground-in soil, grease, and dirt that years of mopping cannot pick up.
4) Expect to give your floors 45mins to dry after cleaning and sealing. The floor will be ready to walk on after that amount of time. Although the floor may be dry and ready to walk on, the grout will often times remain damp for longer periods of time due to it’s ability to absorb water. This creates what seems to be a “blotchy” appearance initially until the grout is completely dry.
5) Expect your floors to be returned back to 90-95% original condition. These are our typically results however, the frequency of professional cleanings, the amount of time in between sealings, and how you maintained the floor will affect this result.
